Pre-School

Based on the concept of Early Childcare Education,we prepare a foundation for lifetime learning.

KID
  • Social skills, like how to play with other children in a calm, sharing and rewarding way.

  • Language, literacy and numeracy skills, such as reading stories and counting objects.
  • A joy for learning and group activities, such as talking , drawing and making things with the peer group.

  • Exposure to innovative ideas and concepts.

The kindergarten Programme at GPIS provides a range of individual and group activities which create a lively and positive learning environment. Games, songs, creative activities, story-telling, role-playing, drawing and painting help develop children’s foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.

Primary

In addition to studying, reading, writing, math, environment, technology, students are also encouraged to engage in creative learning and expression. A holistic education seems to extend beyond a conventional formal education framework to reflect and respond more directly to the task of creating good human beings.

Methodology:

  • More emphasis on understanding of concept than applying a theoretical approach.
  • Use of teachers resource material for practical explanation of lesson.
  • Field visits, participating various stage shows, competitions, public speaking within the school houses are administered to build confidence amongst and get rid off stage fear at the young age.
  • Building students language skills and subject oriented knowledge skills through proper guidance.
  • Equal emphasis is given to individual, small groups and large group activities to enable them to enhance their concealed and peerless qualities.
  • Knowledge enhancement, exploring the world and Research with the help of books and technology.
  • To inculcate the habit of Research and logical thinking.
Primary

Middle

It fosters to various intellectual and developmental skills of the students. It promotes communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement – essential qualities for young people who are becoming global leaders. There are further developments of concept and skills learnt in Primary years.

Middle-School

Methodology:

  • Field trips, Excursions, Projects and Presentations provide experiential learning opportunities.
  • Dance, Fine Arts, Western and Indian Music, Yoga, Speech and Drama promote well-rounded development.
  • Students are encouraged to participate in Inter -house Cultural and Sports Events.
  • Active learning techniques are Free play, Dramatization, Puppetry, Singing ,Dancing and cooking enhance their interest in learning.
  • Book , newspaper and magzine reading activities increase children’s awareness of the world. Assemblies, Concert and Drama productions help shape their personality.
  • Community engagement and social understanding is taught by getting then engaged in social activities.
  • Giving opportunity to kids to showcase their talent by participating in various inter school and Intra school state and national level competition.
  • Guidance and help is rendered to the children likely to face transition from childhood to adolescence.

Secondary

The program equips the child to think independently, critically, consciously and compassionately. Skills like stage daring, public speaking, awareness programs, verbal and aptitude; logical reasoning and critical thinking are more focused.

Methodology:

  • Preparing themselves for the future competition, enhancing opportunities and detail understanding of concept through interpretation and evaluation as students progress to higher standards.
  • Undertaking projects for the better understanding and practical application of lessons learned
  • Active participation in organising Seminars, competition, programs, events under proper guidance
  • To organise and participate in Inter-house cultural and sports events, thus developing leadership skills and team spirit
  • A formal introduction to a more structured and to find-tuned spirit of Physical Education and sport skills
